Student Athlete Lunch
We are offering an opportunity for your team to enjoy a free dinner and learn more about their mental health with the SL24: UnLocke the Light Foundation. Sean’s House recognizes that being a student athlete comes with its own unique pressures and challenges, and we would like to help alleviate some of that pressure. This is why we are hosting our winter Student Athlete Lunch on Sunday, February 23rd at 12:00 PM.
At this event, students will learn about the resources Sean’s House has to offer, hear from former UD Rowing Captain and former Sean’s House Director of Peer Support Alli Burns about the unique pressures athletes face, play games, enjoy a delicious meal from Taverna on Main Street, and get more in touch with their own mental health. We want to emphasize that this event is completely free for any student-athlete who would like to attend.
We ask that the RSVP form be filled out by February 19th so that we have an accurate headcount and are aware of any dietary restrictions.
The address of Sean’s House is 136 West Main Street, Newark, DE. Street parking is available behind the house on New London Road. We hold this free event for all student athletes each sports season, so please keep us in mind for future events and programming. We love to support the youth in our community and are dedicated to supporting mental health in athletes especially.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Keep shining your light.
