Eliana Schulman
Hi, everyone! My name is Eliana, and I’m a Peer Lead at Sean’s House. I graduated from UD in 2023 with my degree in Psychology and minors in Human Development & Family Sciences and Sociology. I am passionate about many topics in psychology, such as mental health, resilience, and interventions as well as how we relate to one another and are shaped by our experiences. I plan to work in psychology research for a bit before pursuing a graduate degree in clinical psychology.
I enjoy being a Peer Lead at Sean’s House especially because I can relate to people based on my own experience. I have struggled with depressive symptoms and something like an adjustment disorder after the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Reaching out for help when my symptoms weren’t going away was the best decision, and I try to shine my light by commending those at Sean’s House for seeking help. Some other simple ways I shine my light are by striking up conversations with people and checking in with family, friends, and guests. Aside from psychology, I enjoy singing and karaoke, connecting with the Jewish community, and spending time with loved ones. I also like showing off my talents of reciting the alphabet backwards in English and Hebrew–oh, and that I speak Hebrew! I hope to talk with you at Sean’s House!
