Jocelyn Saltarelli
Hello everyone! My name is Jocelyn and I am a peer lead here at Sean’s House! I am a Delaware native and a recent graduate of the University of Delaware. I majored in Human Services with a concentration in pre-social work and counseling. I recently started my masters program at Bryn Mawr College’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. I have always had a passion for mental health advocacy and helping others which led me down the social work path where I hope to work in the mental health field with adolescents and young adults.
My personal mental health journey has made me more resilient and compassionate for others struggling with mental health. Sean’s House has given me a safe space to shine a light on mental health advocacy and give others hope that recovery is possible! I always liked the saying that healing is not linear because I have struggled with anxiety, OCD, and depression throughout my life and some days are harder than others but that’s okay! Sean’s House has given me the opportunity to share my light with others and has given me some of the most rewarding experiences helping others in our community. I love sharing smiles and laughs with everyone who walks through the door!
In my free time I love hanging with my dog Marco, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. I love the beach and have a new found love for playing pickleball! You’ll know I am at the house if you walk in and hear the ‘coastal cowgirl’ playlist on the speaker! Hope to see you at the house! 🙂
