Lauren Hartel

Hi! My name is Lauren and I am a human services major with a psychology minor. I am Originally from Northern Virginia, but went to Ohio University for a year and then transferred to UD starting my sophomore year. I am on the swim team at UD and have been swimming since I was 5. I hope to go to graduate school for counseling and one day have my own private practice in couples or family therapy. Mental health is an important topic not only because I hope to go into that field to study, but because of my own mental health struggles in my life and those around me. I have struggled with death and loss and the mental health struggles that come with that. I hope to share advice and use my own mental health journey to uplift and help everyone around me. Sean’s house gives me the space to help others, providing a safe environment for recovery, healing, or simply hanging out. While I am at Sean’s house I love to read and knit (I can even teach you), and love when I meet others with similar interests!
