All resources are available completely free of charge. Sean’s House is dedicated to providing accessible mental health care to all.

24/7 Peer Support

Sean’s House is a completely free resource for young adults ages 14-24. It is a space designed to help members of our community to improve their mental health and wellbeing and to connect with their peers in a safe and confidential environment. Sean’s House offers 24/7 peer support for members of the community.

Peer Support is the process of giving and receiving assistance to achieve long-term recovery. It offers the opportunity for young people to speak to and connect with someone in their same age range with similar lived experiences to support their mental health. These are called Peer Support Specialists. A Peer Support Specialist is a person who is willing to identify lived experiences with a behavioral health challenge to their peers and support them by reducing stigma, connecting them to community resources, and promoting wellness throughout recovery. They offer emotional support, share knowledge, teach skills, provide practical assistance, and connect people with resources, opportunities, communities of support, and other people.

From 8 am to 8 pm, our doors are open and available for anyone to walk in and receive support. No appointments are necessary. All services are completely free and confidential. During this time, we can also provide virtual peer support if a guest is having trouble finding transportation to the House. You can request virtual peer support by either calling the House at 302-294-6134 or emailing peer24@unlockethelight.com. From 8 pm to 8 am, Sean’s House Peer24 Support Specialists are available for crisis assistance. Guests can come to the front doors of 136 West Main Street and ring our doorbell.
