Anna Gliwa
Hi! I’m Anna and I am from Newark, DE! I am a junior double major in Neuroscience and Psychology with a minor in Spanish.
Being from Newark, I have always been able to see the impacts of Sean’s House in the local community. I started volunteering in Summer 2025 and now I am so excited to be a Peer Lead! It is such an amazing opportunity to be a part of this organization and help all the wonderful people within it!
Outside of Sean’s House, I am the co-president of Women in Healthcare on campus. I am in the medical fraternity Phi Delta Epsilon. I am also the fundraising chair for club swimming! Lastly, I do research at the Speech & Language Acquisition Multilingualism (SLAM) Lab and I am also a nanny!
To me, recovery is understanding that each day looks different. It means giving yourself the grace to feel your feelings, but knowing that you are making progress (even if some days it doesn’t feel like it) and you can always ask for help. For me, in recovery, it’s important to look at how far you have come!
