Peer24 Lead

Hi! I’m Carolyn, and I’m from Elizabethtown, PA. I am a Junior Psychology major at the University of Delaware with minors in Cognitive Science, Human Development & Family Sciences, and Disability Studies. I am passionate about people and mental health, and my goal is to attend graduate school and pursue a career as a therapist or a specialized counselor. My journey with mental health started as early as middle school, and through the ups and downs, I was able to find the right treatments and strategies to get myself to where I am today. Although it was daunting at first to receive the specialized therapy I needed for my mental health, it truly changed the trajectory of my recovery journey for the better. Stepping into this space as a Peer24Lead has been nothing short of rewarding as I’m able to help others while also advocating for the needed conversation around mental health. Sean’s House serves as a daily reminder to me to be passionate about others, have intentional conversations, embrace community, and recognize that every story is one worth sharing. Outside of Sean’s House, I enjoy watching TV shows, hanging with friends, listening to music, journaling, reading, or spending time in the sun. If you see me at the house, feel free to say hi!
