Cassie Collucci

Peer24 Lead

Hi! My name is Cassie Collucci and I use she/her pronouns. I’m from Verona, New Jersey and I’m a senior Psychology major with minors in Neuroscience and Human Development and Family Studies.

I started working at Sean’s House so that I could provide the type of support that I wish I had access to growing up with anxiety/panic disorder. As a kid struggling with my mental health it was hard for me to find peers to relate to which could feel really isolating at times. By being a peer support specialist and now a peer lead I can help our visitors know that they are not alone and that recovery is possible!

Recovery is not a linear process and is something that looks different for everyone, but I believe that at its core it’s about being able to see beyond your struggles with mental health. Mental health can be an all consuming struggle that sometimes causes us to lose sight of the people, places and things that once made us happy. Being able to re-discover some of the things that we once had passion for  and having energy for new and old connections are signs of the recovery process.

Outside of Sean’s House I work in a neuroscience lab on campus and am in a social sorority. When I’m off campus I love to draw, paint, or do any kind of craft! I’m also always looking for a new book or TV show to watch so feel free to stop by with recommendations at the house!
