Emily Riale
Hi there! My name is Emily Riale, I’m 23 years old, and I serve as SL24’s Sean’s Room Coordinator. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services from the University of Delaware and am currently in my second year of graduate school pursuing Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my life, I’ve worked many jobs—lifeguard, florist, waitress, and home health nurse, to name a few—but none have connected me to my higher purpose the way this role has. Working with teens across our four locations has brought so much light into my life and gives me hope for the future.
My passion for supporting adolescents comes from my own struggles during that stage of life. At my lowest, I faced anxiety, depression, and chronic pain that left me feeling isolated from my peers. That dark chapter taught me something important: teens don’t always need someone to fix their problems—they need someone to see them through it. My purpose is to help teens know they are never alone and that the world is always better with them in it.
I know firsthand how intimidating it can feel to ask for help, but I promise it’s a choice you’ll never regret. If you see me at one of our locations, please don’t hesitate to ask for a session or just say hello! Chances are, I’ll end up chatting about one (or more) of my favorite things: my baby niece, thrifting/flea markets, live music, traveling, or the importance of community and supporting your local library.
