Emma Mullen
Hi, I’m so happy you’re here! I’m Emma, and I am so excited to be a part of Sean’s House Sussex. I grew up in Millsboro, Delaware, but I’m originally from Florida. I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of Delaware, where I’m majoring in psychology (Roll Hens!). I decided to join Sean’s House because I hope to pursue a career in counseling in the future, and I see this as a great opportunity to connect with others and make a difference. I find joy in learning more about people, understanding what makes us who we are, and finding ways to support others through different stages of life!
I am currently a part of the team at Sean’s House Newark, so I could not wait to join the Sussex team. Meeting new people and building meaningful relationships is one of the best things about the SL24 community. I think having a safe, supportive space where people can feel comfortable being themselves is so important, and I’m grateful to be a part of an organization that works to make that possible. When it comes to recovery, it is important to remember that it looks different for everyone and growth does not happen overnight! To me, recovery is about persevering through life’s challenges, embracing personal growth, and striving to become the best version of yourself on your own terms. I also believe that having people around you who genuinely care and support you can make such a meaningful difference, and you most definitely can find that here!
Outside of Sean’s House, I enjoy being with my friends and family, traveling, and going to concerts. I love making memories with the people closest to me and exploring new places whenever I get the chance. One of my favorite things is spending time with my dog, Oakley, who definitely keeps life fun! I’m truly looking forward to continuing growing both personally and professionally, and helping create a welcoming environment where everyone can feel supported and valued 🫶
