Erin Fitzgerald
Hi everyone! My name is Erin Fitzgerald, I am from Wilmington, DE. I am a junior at UD studying Human Services (Pre-Social Work/Counseling) with a minor in Domestic Violence Prevention Services. After graduating, I want to get my Master’s in Social Work and become an LCSW working in pediatric medical social work. I am a very resilient and determined person, and along with that, I have struggled with depression, anxiety, and PTSD for years. With my amazing support system of friends, family, and Sean’s House, I have not only continued to advocate for mental health awareness, but have found my passion in life, which is helping others.
Here at the House, I serve as a Peer24 Lead. I share my light by greeting everyone with a smile and providing support and compassion in all I do. Along with working at Sean’s House, I have interned at Exceptional Care for Children working in Child Advocacy and Play Therapy, and Supporting Kidds facilitating Healing Pathways bereavement support groups with children who have lost loved ones. Some of my favorite things are iced coffee, going to concerts, and the beach!
