Erin Fitzgerald
Hi everyone! My name is Erin Fitzgerald, I am from Wilmington, DE. I am a senior at UD majoring in Human Services (Pre-Social Work/Counseling). After graduating this spring, I plan to get my Master’s in Social Work and become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I am a very resilient and determined person, and along with that, I have struggled with Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD for years. There have been times where I thought my struggles defined me, but I learned from my role here that your story is powerful, and that modeling vulnerability and leading with empathy can make all the difference for those you are able to help, and for yourself. I started at Sean’s House as a Peer back in 2021 right before my senior year of high school, and it has played a huge role in my growth both professionally in my love for this field, and personally.
Since 2023, I have served as a Peer24 Lead. I make it my mission to greet everyone with a smile and make their time at the house as welcoming and comforting as possible. Along with working at Sean’s House, I am involved in my sorority, and I am the Vice President of Standards for the University of Delaware Panhellenic Executive Board. Some of my favorite things are spending time with my friends and family, travelling, iced coffee, going to concerts, and the beach!
