Kaitlyn Ludden
Hi!! My name is Kaitlyn Ludden and I use she/her pronouns. I’m from Seaford, New York and I’m currently a senior studying Psychology with minors in Human Development and Family Sciences and Statistical Data Analysis.
I started working at Sean’s House because I found it to be a community unlike any other I have seen before. Finding a place that is so open to advocating for mental health awareness is so refreshing and I knew that I wanted to help with that advocacy in any way I could. By being a peer specialist, I was able to provide that listening ear that so many needed just to feel heard. I’m excited to become even more involved in helping people as a new Peer Lead!
With mental health advocacy, they also advocate for recovery. For me, recovery looks like taking time to put yourself first and heal. It can be from anything small like going for a walk to think or just doing a self-care day. Taking time for yourself is so important for one’s mental health and I find it is always good to prioritize the things that you love.
Outside of Sean’s House, I’m involved in HTAC as I love to perform in musicals and am also a World Scholar. I also am a big reader, love to listen to music, love traveling, and going to concerts/live music shows. I love to meet new people, so if you ever see me, don’t hesitate to say hi!
