Hey everyone! I’m Tori, and I am so excited to be part of the Sean’s House Sussex team! I was born and raised in Lewes, Delaware, I’m a small town girl with big dreams, coastal roots, and a whole lot of personality! After growing up by the beach, I traded the salty air for college life at Goldey Beacom College where I graduate in 2o23 with my Bachelors in Psychology. After graduation I made my way back to the beach area and began working for the Cape Henlopen School District at Love Creek Elementary School as an SC paraeducator supporting individuals on the autism spectrum.

The experience working at the school district helped grow my passion for mental health, understanding different perspectives, and making sure everyone feels accepted, supported, and valued. This is what lead me to Sean’s House because I wanted to grow my experience in mental health and be part of something that makes a difference in people’s lives. I love the idea of being able to create a welcoming, judgement free space where people can feel comfortable being themselves, connect with others, and know they aren’t alone. These are also some of the core values that I believe in when it comes to recovery. Recovery looks different for everyone, and there’s no single way to navigate your journey. For me recovery means taking one day at a time, learning to give yourself grace, celebrating little victories, and recognizing that progress doesn’t have to be perfect. Recovery is about building connections and community and knowing that you are not alone even though it can feel like that sometimes.

When I’m not at Sean’s House you can usually find me listening to music, going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, and supporting the Sussex Community wherever is needed. Fun fact about me is that I am visually impaired which has shaped my perspective 0n accessibility, advocacy, and the importance of making everyone feel included. Remember  you never have to walk your journey alone when it comes to Sean’s House!
