Jayden Lesko

Peer 24 Leader

Hi, my name is Jayden Lesko and I am a senior Human Services major with a minor in Sexuality and Gender Studies at the University of Delaware. Upon graduation, I plan to earn a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and a Clinical License in Social Work (LCSW). My mental health journey has been quite the roller coaster, but my lived experiences have taught me so much and made me into the resilient person I am today. Living with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, I have learned that recovery is anything but linear. There are good days and bad days and everything in between, but I’ve learned it’s important to hold the good days and good people that surround us close when we need them the most.

I am so excited to further my interaction with others in my new role as a Peer Lead at Sean’s House. Volunteering at Sean’s House for the past year has been an amazing experience. When I was younger, I always wished there was someone to help me feel less alone in my experiences. This opportunity to use my own lived experiences to help others in this special place is truly an honor. In my free time, I am very active in my theatre organization on campus where I am the current Vice President. I love movie marathons and drawing when I need to recharge.
