Mia D’Antoni

Peer 24 Leader

Hi everyone! My name is Mia D’Antoni, I’m 22, and I recently graduated from UD with my bachelor’s in psychology, and minors in sociology and anthropology. Currently, my plan for the next few years is to go to grad school, but I’m currently trying to narrow down what I’d like to get my Master’s in. Personally, my mental health journey has come with its fair share of challenges, as my anxiety and depression have taken me to low points in the past. However, I see recovery as a non-linear path that helps set the stage for personal growth and resilience, and I’m extremely proud of myself and where I’m at in my recovery as well as my mental health journey at this period of my life.

Sean’s House has been a huge part of my recovery journey, never before have I found myself in such a supportive and safe environment! As a Peer Lead at Sean’s House, I want to do everything I can to contribute to this safe space in order to help others in their recovery journeys. I shine my light by doing my best to be there for everyone else in the house, whether that be fellow peer leads, peer volunteers, or guests! When I’m not at 136, I love to try new art projects, swim, travel, foster dogs, go to concerts and read. If I am at the house, it’s safe to say I’ll be wherever the PAWS dog is hanging out that day! I’m always looking for new recommendations for books, shows, travel, etc., so I’d love to hear any you’ve got!! In the meantime, I really look forward to continuing to be a part of an organization as amazing as Sean’s House.
