Rehan Noon

Peer 24 Leader

Hi! My name is Rehan and I am currently a Junior studying Cognitive Science at UD, with a concentration in psychology and a minor in philosophy. I’m aiming to explore the psychotherapy route after I graduate, and I’m excited to bring my experience and knowledge from campus to the field. My own mental health has been everything to me, and something I focused on much more after a cancer diagnosis in my early teens. I went through my middle and high school years having lost most of the things I had as a kid, leading to a period of isolation and anxiety which added mental symptoms on top of the physical ones. Getting out of it meant learning where I could reorient my life by learning more about myself and what I truly valued in the face of nothingness- having an outlook on what life could be instead of what it just is tremendously helped.

I’m excited to begin my journey as a Peer Lead where I can take these lessons among the ones I’ve learned from almost 2 years as a Peer Specialist and turn them into a guide to light the way for others. Outside of work and school I love long walks, focusing on small DIY projects at home, and playing soccer. But no matter what I’m doing, I’m always thinking and trying to learn more. Being able to reflect on the things I’ve experienced through the years has led to me being much more capable then I was, and I am always grateful for that wisdom. Speaking of capabilities, I’m really good at ping pong, and I’ll prove it the second we can bring a table into the house.
