The death of someone important to you is one of the hardest things to experience in life. If you’re young, such a loss can be even more devastating. You may feel emotions like sadness, anger, and guilt, or experience times of anxiety or depression. All of these are normal responses to losing a loved one. There are people who care and are willing to help you. The grief of an adolescent or young adult can be influenced by many factors. Just as each person is unique, so also is the way someone’s death impacts them. At Sean’s House, we’ve learned that being there for one another is crucial. We listen and do not judge.
